"...I have enjoyed working with Staci Hammond on my WebCT project. She has been a valuable source of information for me in developing the internet course. During the fall 2004 semester Staci met with me on a weekly basis to plan and discuss the course. Her past experience in setting up internet courses was beneficial in the development of this course. In addition, after I completed course materials all I had to do was send them to Staci and she would promptly put the material on the WebCt site for me. Staci set up the entire WebCT site for my course. Because of my full teaching load, research, and other commitments, I never would have had time to learn WebCT well enough to complete the course this year. I am very appreciative of the help she has given me this year. The Tech Fellows program is very important to our campus. Thank you for providing this service for the faculty." --Jackie Adamson, Assistant Professor, Social Sciences

"...By the way, I was very impressed with Jake’s (Gunderson) willingness to help on Friday. I called him from off campus while sitting in a doctor’s office waiting room. He said he would make himself available to help whenever I could get back to campus—even if that meant helping me later in the evening. He gave me his cell phone number. I was able to cancel my appointment and get over to the Helpdesk by 5:00, but he still ended up working until after 6:00 p.m. I found this level of dedication and helpfulness extraordinary... "....Tech fellow Andy did make it over Friday afternoon to help with my data acquisition computer problem. I was a bit dismayed as it was about 4 and I had my eye on the clock, ready to blast out of here. Andy told me he usually worked to 5 so I figured my big problem would be my even bigger problem Monday morning as the time for my grad students to do their critical tests got shorter. This computer is essential in running their tests. Andy dug into the problem and I wasn’t sure we were making any progress as the time rolled around to 4:30, then 5, then 5:30. After what we hoped was a final reboot, the program opened up and worked just fine. Hallelujah brothers and sisters amen!! I appreciate that Andy was determined to stay and do whatever it took to fix my problem. Please thank Andy again for me." ~Forest Cooper, technician, Civil and Environmental Engineering Dept

"The student who came over to work on my computer this morning – I’m not sure of his name – maybe “Brad”? Anyway, he was really wonderful – he was very professional, efficient and accomplished much more than I expected. Please convey my appreciation to him for his knowledge and abilities, and especially for not making fun of me for not knowing what I had even done to make such a mess!!! " ~ Deb Sloat, HR Director

- "....my experience with Tech Fellow Nathan Bishop. The experience was excellent. The goal was to familiarize myself with Access so that it would be a tool that I might use in the future for my work. Nathan was easy to work with, experienced enough with Access to answer my questions, and he clearly explained the different components of Access such that I am now comfortable working with Access in my research. He was very professional and helpful and I would welcome the chance to work with someone like that again if the need arose...." ~Dr Kerri Vierling, Biology

- "My web course project with Staci Hammond has been very enlightening and enjoyable. Staci was always here, always enthusiastic, and full of suggestions. She didn't laugh or sneer at my mistakes and ignorance, and has been very helpful throughout. When there was something she couldn't fix, she found out the solution on her own, and fixed problems on my site in between our meetings. I am learning a lot and have much more confidence now. Thanks so much!" ~Dr. Sally Palmer
