USING DESIRE2LEARN

Effective 7/1/08 Desire2Learn (D2L) will replace WebCT as the South Dakota Board of Regents' official course management software tool. Training for faculty is available by contacting VJ Hedrick by email or by calling 394-2455.

D2L Username for students: WebAdvisor Username (customarily your first initial, middle initial and full last name)

D2L Username for Faculty/Staff: WebAdvisor Username (first initial, middle intitial, last name)

Faculty should use their @sdsmt email, unless their home university is not SDSM&T. In that case, facutly should use the email address associated with their home university.

SDSU's Instructional Design Service has given the SDSM&T faculty and D2L users permission to view short online D2L training videos created by SDSU IDS. Go to http://ids.sdstate.edu/WebCT/StudentD2LGuides.cfm, then choose from the video menu on the left side of the page

Faculty may learn more about Desire2Learn by joining the D2L Community. Community members recieve newletters, have access to discussion boards and lots of information about using and teaching with D2L.
